CCA Overview

At Football CCA in GMS(P), we believe in providing our students with every opportunity to nurture their interest in the sport, and through it, build up their characters to become better people. We place a big emphasis on teamwork and encouraging one another no matter what challenges we face.

Every Tuesday afternoon, our coaches and football teachers guide and nurture our GMS(P) footballers in areas such as technical ball skills, match tactics, as well as competition mentality. It is important to us that our students learn to find the right balance of playing to win while maintaining the spirit of sportsmanship.

Our GMS(P) school team players proudly represent our school at the National School Games, as well as friendly matches and invitationals. Our other Football CCA students also get to experience the element of competition in the form of our very own internal football league. We are also constantly on the lookout for external opportunities for our footballers. On 31st March, several of our senior boys had the opportunity to attend the Singapore vs Bangladesh match at the National Stadium.

Highlight:

This year, our senior boys football school team gained promotion to League 2 of the National School Games competition. They achieved this feat by winning all three of their Pool round matches. Though competition was tough in the higher division, our senior boys still managed to finish a respectable second in their group to end off what has been a successful football season on a high. Kudos to the team for their efforts, sacrifices, and displays of sportsmanship throughout their training sessions and competition matches!
