Direct School Admission Exercise (DSA)
Primary 6 (P6) students who do not participate in the DSA-Sec will continue to seek admission based on their PSLE results through the Secondary 1 (S1) Posting.
DSA is a commitment on the part of both the student and the secondary school. This is because the school is committed to developing students to their fullest potential in both their studies and talents throughout their school years. Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the talent. Therefore, students who are not sure or not ready to do so should enter a secondary school through the S1 Posting instead.
Students successfully allocated to their DSA-Sec schools will NOT be allowed to participate in the annual S1 Posting to opt for secondary schools, and are expected to honour the commitment to the allocated DSA-Sec school for the entire duration of the programme to develop their talents.
They will also NOT be allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results.
Students interested in the DSA-Sec and DSA-JC should visit the websites of the participating DSA schools for more details. They are advised to do so before submitting their application form. More information is also available at the respective MOE websites:
